What ERE means, in plain language

The Netherlands sets requirements for the share of renewable energy in transport. Electricity you charge into an electric car counts towards that. We call it ERE: renewable energy for transport.

You may register that supplied energy, as long as the volume is measured with a certified meter and demonstrably goes into a vehicle. Parties that have to meet the obligation buy that registered value.

EEVY handles the registration for you, bundles the volume of all participants, sells it and pays out the proceeds. What it yields depends on your charging volume and on the market price.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Measure

The MID meter in your charger, an officially certified meter, records every charging session.

  2. Step 2

    Register

We register the charged energy as energy for transport.

  3. Step 3

    Bundle

Your volume joins that of all other participants.

  4. Step 4

    Sell

We sell the bundled volume at a favourable moment.

  5. Step 5

    Pay out

The proceeds go to your account periodically.

What we do and what you do

Reporting and payout

Every month you see exactly what was registered and what it yielded. Payout follows periodically to your account.

  • Registered energy per charge point and per month
  • The number of sessions and the meter readings the registration rests on
  • The volumes sold and the matching period
  • The payout, with date and reference
  • An export for your own records
