SMART CHARGING, COMING SOON
Charge when electricity is cheapest
Your chargers steer automatically on the hourly price and on the load of your grid connection. The price per kWh drops, without anyone facing an empty battery in the morning.

Smart charging is on its way
We are working on a second step: not just registering what you already do, but thinking along about when you charge. Charging during the cheapest hours without you having to watch it.
Once it goes live, smart charging combined with ERE registration will cost €10 per month. You cannot sign up for it yet.
The difference in one picture
The same kWh, different hours. By charging when electricity is cheap, the price per kWh drops.
Energy price per hour
Indicative day. Grey: uncontrolled charging from 18:00. Blue: smart charging during the night.
Example saving per month
€18.40
Example saving per year
€221
Calculation example at around 300 kWh per month on a dynamic tariff. Your saving depends on charging volume, charging moment and market price.
What we steer on
Dynamic energy prices
The hourly price decides when charging happens. We skip expensive peak hours for as long as we can.
Your charging window and departure time
You say when the car has to leave. Within that window we find the cheapest hours.
Capacity of the connection
We take into account what your connection can handle, so the main fuse is not overloaded.
Your own generation
If you generate power with solar panels, we prefer to charge at moments with a surplus.
For businesses
- Flatten charging peaks across day and night
- Keep the capacity tariff manageable
- Spread several charge points across the available capacity
Do several charge points share one connection? Then load balancing, the smart division of available power, spreads that power across the cars present. Cars that stay longer charge more slowly. Cars that have to leave soon get priority. That keeps the connection within its limits, so you do not have to upgrade it.
For home
- Set your departure time, the rest is automatic
- Always enough range when you drive off in the morning
- Combine with solar panels and a dynamic contract
What you need
- A charger that can be controlled, or that is reachable through a charging backend
- A stable internet connection at the location
- An energy contract where steering pays off, for instance with hourly rates
Frequently asked questions
You switch charging to full power in one action, through your charger app or charging backend. Smart charging steps back and the car continues charging right away.
